Bags of Blessings Food Pantry
The Bags of Blessings Food Pantry distributes food on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. This ministry is located in the bottom of Mountain Grove Church’s worship facility. The food pantry is a vital ministry for Mountain Grove Church. Last Year (2011) the Bags of Blessings distributed over 91,000 lbs of food. Each week this ministry touches the lives of over 200 individual families.
How Can I Help?
There are many ways that you can help with the food pantry.
» Volunteering to Serve.
There are many opportunities for you to volunteer in the food pantry. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month to pack the bags that are to be distributed the next day. You can also volunteer to help distribute the food on the pantry evenings. If you would like to help as a volunteer, Please contact Larry Puett, 828.728.9557 ext.13 for more information.
» Donating Food.
Each week we take up a specific food item to distribute in the food pantry. The weekly item is displayed on the schedule on the right hand side of this page. You can deliver the items directly to the church during the week or place them in the food pantry box located in the worship center lobby. » Donating Money.
The Bags of Blessing Food Pantry has to purchase food and different materials to use in this ministry. If you are a member at Mountain Grove Church you can give using any of our 4 ways to give. If you are non-member and you are interested in donating money to the food pantry you can stop by Mountain Grove Church office Monday-Thursday.Or if you would like to give online you can use our SecureGive page. Once you login into SecureGive mark the check box labeled food pantry. All the money donated will be given directly to the Bags of Blessing Food Pantry.
