The Confession App

A couple of weeks ago we began a brand new series called Life Apps, and basically we’re talking about the importance of not just listening, but the importance of doing.

Application not information or participation makes all the difference.

Church People think if we listen… its all good. And the people who don’t go to church because they see us go to church and we don’t do anything differently. We just go to church. And then we say, Hey, you ought to come to my church. They’re going, Why should I go to your church? I do the same kinds of things you do; you do the same kinds of things I do. There is no real difference in the way we live our lives. Why would I want to give away my Sunday morning? You’re going, Oh, because you’ll be closer to God.

James goes time out. No; listening is nothing. Doing is everything. You have to do something.

Today the life app is confess. Today, for a few minutes, I want us to talk about confession.
