I have been trying to find a way to do this series for a long time. This is a topic that is really close to my heart. Because I know so many of us have them and when I say US I mean US.. You and Me. So, Now seemed like a really good time so here we go. For the next 2 weeks we are going to talk about blind spots. Talk about what they are , how we can see them, what God says about them and how we can overcome them.

In this series called Awakening we have talked about the event that forever changed history. The Resurrection of Jesus and how that event not only changed history but is changing today.
We said the Resurrection has the power to change our lives here and now. We also said Jesus didn’t come to make bad people good he came to make dead people alive.
Once we wake up once we are alive for you the first time we something happens.
We realize that we may have wasted great portions of our life. That is a very painful place to be. That can be a very disturbing reality check… You see we don’t like to think about it but our time is short.

For the next few Sundays, we will look together at “The Truths About Giving.” We will see from the Scriptures the fact that man is a created, dependent being and, as such, and is a steward of all he has. Man is not the possessor; he is the manager. God created all things; therefore, He owns all things. Man does not possess his own life, time, gifts, or wealth, He manages.

There’s a difference between being alive and being fully alive. It’s like having blinders on and not knowing it. How many of you have seen a horse with blinders over their eyes? Horses have peripheral vision, which means they can end up running off course unless they are made to remain focused. Blinders help horses , but they are not so good for you and me. We need to be able to see clearly and have the full perspective in view to make wise choices in our lives, in our relationships, in our finances, in our everyday living.
But we cannot do that if we only see part of the picture.. So many of us are walking around with blinders on and we don’t even know it.

The story of Jesus’ resurrection is amazing. 3 people showed up at the tomb after they had heard that Jesus’ tomb was empty. Each one of them affected in a different way. They all agreed the tomb was empty, but the question is how did they respond to that empty tomb? How do you respond to that empty tomb? How is it going to affect your life?
